What is Rush?
Rush is a period of time in which interested individuals get a taste of what the Fraternity stands for. They learn a small portion of the Fraternity's values, and get to interact with its active members. "Rushees" are allowed to check out several fraternities at a time. If the fraternities are interested in an individual, a bid is given to the rushee. A bid is a formal invitation to join the fraternity. The rushees are not required to make a decision until the events of Pledging begin. The word "Pledges" comes from the act of pledging to join only one fraternity
